Highline Future Teachers Kelly Linderman Scholarship
The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize outstanding graduates of Highline Academy and to honor Kelly Linderman, whose passion for teaching impacted many students. To learn more about Kelly, click here.
Eligibility:
Students who meet ALL of the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
- Graduated from Highline Academy Charter School
- Earned a cumulative 3.0 GPA in High School
- Interest in pursuing a career that positively impacts youth, including but not exclusive to teaching, education administration or policy, civic leadership, law, mental health, or other fields
- Planning to enroll at an accredited, not-for-profit, 2- or 4-year college or university in the United States
Selection:
Recipients will be selected based on their academic achievement, embodiment of Highline Academy’s core values (Responsibility, Empowerment, Aspiration, Citizenship, and Honesty) in their personal and academic life, their professional interest, as well as a character reference.
Awards:
Awards can be used for tuition and fees. All scholarships will be paid directly to a recipient’s school, and can be used for the upcoming academic year or deferred for up to one year. Award disbursement is contingent upon the outside scholarship policies of a recipient’s college or university.
