Winifred R. Reynolds Educational Scholarship

The Winifred R. Reynolds Educational Scholarship was created to support students pursuing graduate degrees focused on early childhood education (ECE). Scholarships of varying amounts are awarded to students pursuing graduate degrees in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or an equivalent field with coursework focused specifically on ECE.

Eligibility
Students who meet all of the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
- Be a current resident of Colorado or have been a resident of Colorado for at least 2 years prior to the start of the upcoming academic year (ex: for the upcoming 2019-2020 academic year, residency should have been established in 2018)
- Enrolled or planning to enroll in a master’s or doctorate level program in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Educational Psychology, or an equivalent program with coursework primarily focusing on early childhood education
- Have financial need
- Have a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher for all graduate level work that has been completed (students who are just starting their graduate work should have a strong undergraduate academic record)

Selection: The selection committee will look at an applicant’s academic achievement, volunteer and work experience, career goals, commitment to and passion for their chosen field, potential for leadership, and the possibility of making a strong contribution to the field. An applicant must have financial need in order to be eligible for a scholarship, but the selection process will be based on merit.

Award: Award amounts typically range from $1,500 to $7,000 and are based upon the strength of the application and the number of credit hours an applicant will enroll in for the upcoming academic year. This application form can be used to request scholarship assistance for the Summer 2019, Fall 2019, and/or Winter/Spring 2020 term(s)/semester(s). Scholarship grants can be used for tuition, fees, and/or required books. Applicants can be full-time or part-time students. Previous recipients are encouraged to re-apply. An individual can receive a scholarship from this fund for a maximum of three years.
