John W. & Edna Wilson Mosley Scholarship

This scholarship program aims to assist African American students from East High School attend their first year at the college, university, or other accredited post-secondary school of their choice.

Eligibility:
Students who meet ALL of the following criteria are encouraged to apply.
- Be a graduating, African American senior from East High School
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Planning to attend a college, university, or other accredited post-secondary school in the 2019-2020 academic year

Selection: Recipients will be selected based on their academic achievement, extracurricular activities & leadership, letters of recommendation, personal essays, and their financial need. Finalists will be asked to complete an in-person interview with the selection committee in April that will also be taken into consideration in the selection process.

Award: Awards can be used for tuition, fees, books, room and board, and other required educational expenses. All scholarships will be paid directly to a recipient’s school, and must be used for the upcoming academic year. Award disbursement is contingent upon the outside scholarship policies of a recipient’s college or university.
